The open spaces of North Babylon became the country estates of the wealthy and famous in the late 1800s and early 1900s. A look at the local estates of August Belmont (both Sr. and Jr.), Royal Phelps (Phelps Lane Park), Ambassador M. Robert Guggenheim and others.
