Parent and child(ren) Ages 5-8

Learn and practice yoga poses with your child, enjoy yoga stories, games and songs.  All families with or without yoga experience are welcome!

Tal is a guitarist, songwriter, and instrumentalist in the Americana Folk-Blues guitar tradition. He performs solo acoustic from his original and traditional repertoire.

The Library offers a free service to patrons through the Social Work Intern Program at the Stony Brook University School of Social Welfare.

Dear Santa Dear Future Self! Come write letters to your future self as we reflect upon this past year and set goals for the upcoming year!

This program will earn teens 1 hour of community service credit.

Grades K-5

Everyone will enjoy creating an agate slice necklace and mosaic gift box.  The necklace and box combination would make a wonderful holiday gift - or keep for yourself!

Bring your sewing machine, tools (scissors, seam ripper, etc), and materials to the library to work on your projects. Must know how to thread a bobbin and use your machine. Expert Sue will be on hand to answer questions.

Grades K-5

Children will play with toys to explore physics concepts.  During play, children discover what makes toys work. Both familiar and novel gadgets are explored.

Help younger children improve their chess skills by playing games with them.

This program will earn teens 1.5 hours of community service credit.

Practice your game and improve your skills by matching wits with your fellow players.

Share special story times with your little one.

Learn how to stitch by hand!  Sew a Gingerbread Tote bag to carry your books, and other items!

Dive into the colorful world of shimmering mosaic art as you design and craft your own diamond keychains. 

Ages 1-5

Stop by the Children's Room for a fun play date with other children, and adults.  We supply the toys, you supply the fun!

Grades K-5

Stuff a white chocolate polar bear with cocoa mix that you prepare, then seal with more white chocolate, and 

We will be painting a ceramic snowman. All supplies will be included in the class. There is a $12 non-refundable materials fee. 

Ages One Through Five (Preschool) with their Adult

Join Kimberly for a mobility class that combines Vinyasa Yoga with modern mobility techniques. Improve flexibility and posture, build strength, and calm your mind. All levels are welcome. Please bring a yoga mat.

The James Bond films are known for beautifully arranged and sung theme songs which carry a life of their own on radio and streaming services. Join Keith Crocker as he highlights these songs and the singers that brought them to life.
